BAINBRIDGE AREA
LANDOWNERS COALITION
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

I’m joining the Bainbridge Area Landowners Coalition (Coalition), a free and voluntary grassroots group of landowners in the Bainbridge Area, Chenango County, New York. I understand that the Coalition Steering Committee will negotiate gas leases with the objective of maximizing lease-signing payments and royalties to Coalition members, as well as securing lease terms to protect the land and landowners.

I acknowledge that the Coalition has engaged a team of oil and gas consultants (Don Zaengle petroleum geologist, Chris Denton oil and gas attorney, Bob Williams environmental scientist, John Lacey pipeline consultant, Jim Lenard accountant, and Terry Retzloff gas field operations) to secure a gas lease. I understand that I am not bound by the lease negotiated by the Steering Committee nor shall I be bound to pay any legal fees or expenses unless I decide to sign the gas lease that is the result of negotiations of the Steering Committee and the law firm under a separate retainer agreement.

Since there is some "dual citizenship" with Bainbridge (or other groups) and CNY, I do not want Bainbridge or other group's members still identified with CNY to feel they cannot come to the CNY meeting on April 10th. After all, it's "dual" citizenship and not "duel" citizenship! We'll still be helping each other in some way down the road.

Good point Brian. i think we should all attend as many meetings as possible and remember who our allies are. We are the landowners. We are the owners of the resource that all of these muti-billion dollar corporations are chasing after. We must look out for ourselves first, but we should also take care to watch out for each other also. i hope that we can go through this process and make sure thay everyone receives their just due.
