It's funny that the idea of leasing land is deemed or said to be less than desirable during the "recession." I find that to be foolish talk. If this were true, much would be different. Gas prices would continue to decline or stay stagnant everywhere, but by no means is that the case. $4000 an acre, these companies should feel bad for the way in which they are trying to 'rape' of their people's land and finances.

This topic has been a quiet for a while.....

Just listened to a message on my answering machine from Norse. They're seeking a pipeline easement @ $15 per foot through my property. I'm in no rush to call them back.... Anyone else had recent activity regarding easements and what the offers have been?

Not a lease offer but received a letter from "Griffith Land Services" wanting to purchase mineral rights. No price mentioned, call if interested. I'm not. Located in northern Broome town of Fenton.

Griffith is offering $500 per acre if you have a lease on your land and $1000 if u dont . One time payment for all your minerals

Lease expired a year ago,After recieving force majeure letter and not signing it, Recieved offer from Chesapeake for $800/acre over 3 years (boilerplate terms) for land on Chemung/Tioga border. Still fighting them on force majeure. Also recieved offer to buy land/rights from a company I believe is part of Chesapeake. I called the guy and He would not give a number--He wanted me to name a number and he would run it past his "heads". I am not selling
